Seminar via Zoom  zoom

Time: 4pm - 5.30pm

nigel deacon1With Nigel Deacon, Behaviour Provision Team Leader
Hillborough Junior School

Nigel is a keen advocate of solution focussed thinking, seeking to unlock the pathway for each pupil to reach their potential through a creative, positive approach, within clear boundaries. This has developed throughout his experience as a class teacher in Key Stage 2, a teacher at Dell Farm Outdoor Education and, for the last 12 years, as leader of Hillrise Primary behaviour provision based at Hillborough Junior School.

About This Course

From Gardener’s World to Flirty Dancing, a TV guide tour of behaviour management in the classroom. We’ll explore the development and maintenance of positive classroom habits. We’ll consider the communication purpose of behaviour – what are they trying to tell us through their demeanour, comments and actions? We’ll start to identify landmarks on the road to a more positive, socially acceptable interaction for individuals whose behaviour can be challenging.
